CloudTalk supports number porting in Finland for local, national, mobile, and toll-free number types. This guide outlines the documentation needed, estimated porting timelines, and what to expect during the process.

Required Documents For Number Porting

โœ… Local & National Numbers

  • Signed LOA (Letter of Authorization) (added as a .zip at the end of this guide)

  • VAT or TAX ID

  • Latest invoice from the current service provider

  • Address in the same city as the number within Finland

If you do not have an address in Finland, we will use a different partner carrier. The LOA will be provided over email after submitting your request. You can proceed with the International Porting Form without attaching LOA.

Porting Process Overview

  1. Submit Your Porting Request
    Send your request to the CloudTalk Porting Team to begin the process.

  2. Initial Review
    Cloudtalk team'll verify number portability and confirm the next steps.
    โ€‹

  3. Documentation Collection
    Complete and sign the LOA (Letter of Authorization), and provide a recent invoice from your current telecom provider.
    โ€‹

  4. Submission to Carrier
    CloudTalk submits your request to our partner carrier, who then forwards it to your current provider.
    โ€‹

  5. Approval or Rejection

    • If approved, Cloudtalk team will confirm the porting date (typically 2โ€“4 business days in advance).

    • If rejected, Cloudtalk team will share the reason and guide you on how to correct and resubmit the request.

Common Rejection Reasons & How to Fix Them

Contact your current service provider before submitting a porting request to CloudTalk. They can advise you on all information regarding your numbers

Mismatched or outdated documentation

Double-check that all submitted documents (LOA, invoice, ID) are recent and contain matching details

Missing SSN, VAT ID, or attorney authorization (for toll-free)

Ensure all required identification or authorization documents are included and valid

Incorrect or incomplete LOA

Use the correct LOA template and ensure all fields are filled out and properly signed

Number is inactive or not eligible for porting

Contact your current provider to confirm the number is active and can be ported


On Porting Day

  • Your number becomes active in CloudTalk

  • Your former provider releases the number

  • Calls route via CloudTalk

  • Billing starts the same day
