Porting your Brazilian phone numbers to CloudTalk is possible for local, national, and toll-free formats. The process requires specific documentation based on number type and ownership status. This guide outlines everything you need to prepare for a smooth and successful number transfer.

Local Numbers
Required Documents:
Latest Invoice from the current service provider (issued within the last 30 days, listing the number).
Signed LOA (Letter of Authorization) —. Must include:
attached at the bottom of this guide as a .zipName and signature of legal entity or authorized person
Valid Brazilian address (must match the number's area code)
Portability form

Business Registration Extract from CNPJ (“Cadastro Nacional de Pessoas Jurídicas”)
if you do not have an up to date copy, you can download it from http://www.sintegra.gov.br/ or Comprovante de Inscrição e de Situação Cadastral on solucoes.receita.fazenda.gov.br using your CNPJ number
If you do not have an address in Brazil, we can proceed with your port with a back-up operator. Contact our Porting team and we will guide you through the process.

All submitted documents must reflect consistent business information across the LOA and invoice.

Latest Invoice from the current service provider
Signed LOA — provided upon request
Brazilian Business Registration
Proof of Address, if not listed on the business registration (e.g., utility bill, rent receipt, tax notice, title deed)
Compliance Note:
The business address may be outside Brazil, but business identity verification is still mandatory.

Step-by-Step Porting Process
Submit a porting request to the CloudTalk Porting Team
We review the request to check number portability and confirm next steps
You complete and sign the LOA (Letter of Authorization)
You send us the LOA and a recent invoice from your current provider
CloudTalk submits the porting request to our partner carrier
Our carrier forwards the request to your current telecom provider for approval
If accepted, we’ll notify you of the confirmed porting date (usually 2- 4 business days in advance)
If rejected, we’ll share the rejection reason and assist you in correcting the information for resubmission
Common Rejection Reasons
Mismatched details between the LOA, invoice, or ID
Outdated invoices (older than 30 days)
Missing government-issued ID or incomplete CNPJ information
Non-matching address zone for local numbers
Inactive numbers (must remain active with the current provider until porting to CloudTalk is completed)
On Porting Day
The number will be activated in CloudTalk
Your previous provider will release and deactivate the number
You’ll begin receiving inbound calls through CloudTalk
CloudTalk billing begins the same day
