Porting your Swedish phone number to CloudTalk is simple when all documentation is prepared in advance. This guide outlines what types of numbers are supported, what you’ll need to port them, and what to expect during the process.

Supported Number Types

  • Geographic (local) numbers: +46 8 (Stockholm)

  • National numbers: +46 10

  • Toll-Free numbers: +46 2

  • Mobile numbers (no SMS): + 46 70 or +46 76

    • ​CloudTalk can port Swedish mobile numbers for calling functionality only - please do not launch a port request if you need SMS

Local (Geographic) Numbers

Porting Requirements

  • Signed Letter of Authorization (added as a .zip at the end of this guide)

  • Latest invoice from current provider

  • Tax number of the end user has to be provided

    • if a Swedish Tax Number (Organization Number)

      • Starts with 16 for companies

      • Starts with 19 or 20 for individuals

Numbers Compliance Requirements

  • End-user service address (business/residence) must be within Sweden

  • Proof of ID: company registration

Even if you are not a registered business in Sweden, please continue with your porting request. Our Porting team will follow-up and advise you on portability, as we may have alternative options.

National Numbers

  • Latest invoice from current provider

  • Tax number of the end user has to be provided

    • if a Swedish Tax Number (Organization Number)

      • Starts with 16 for companies

      • Starts with 19 or 20 for individuals

    • Company name and service address (worldwide accepted)

    • Proof of ID: company registration

Mobile Numbers (no SMS)

Step-by-Step Porting Process

  1. Submit a porting request to the CloudTalk Porting Team

  2. We review the request to check number portability and confirm next steps

  3. You complete and sign the LOA (Letter of Authorization)

  4. You send us the LOA and a recent invoice from your current provider

  5. CloudTalk submits the porting request to our partner carrier

  6. Our carrier forwards the request to your current telecom provider for approval

  7. If accepted, we’ll notify you of the confirmed porting date (usually 2- 4 business days in advance)

  8. If rejected, we’ll share the rejection reason and assist you in correcting the information for resubmission

What Happens on Porting Day?

  • Your number becomes active in CloudTalk

  • Your former provider deactivates the number

  • CloudTalk billing starts immediately
