🇪🇸 Spain Number Porting Guide

A step-by-step guide to porting your Spanish numbers to CloudTalk

This guide outlines the supported number types, required documents, hosting rules, and porting timelines for Spanish numbers.

⚠️ Mobile numbers (+34 6xx) are not portable.

2. Submit Your Request

3. Download LOA Template

You’ll need to submit a signed Letter of Authorization (LOA) - Provided as a .zip file at the end of this guide.

Required Documents for Number Porting

LOA template (.zip) is attached at the bottom of this guide.

✅ Local Numbers

  • Signed LOA (must include CIF/NIF)

  • Recent invoice (dated within the last 30 days, showing number and end user details)

  • CIF/NIF (Spanish Tax ID) must match the legal entity on the invoice and LOA

Hosting requirement: Address must be within the same area code as the number

✅ National & Toll-Free Numbers

  • Signed LOA

  • Recent invoice (dated within the last 30 days, showing number and end user details)


Porting Process Overview

  1. Submit Your Porting Request
    Send your request to the CloudTalk Porting Team to begin the process.

  2. Initial Review
    Cloudtalk team'll verify number portability and confirm the next steps.

  3. Documentation Collection
    Complete and sign the LOA (Letter of Authorization), and provide a recent invoice from your current telecom provider.

  4. Submission to Carrier
    CloudTalk submits your request to our partner carrier, who then forwards it to your current provider.

  5. Approval or Rejection

    • If approved, Cloudtalk team will confirm the porting date (typically 2–4 business days in advance).

    • If rejected, Cloudtalk team will share the reason and guide you on how to correct and resubmit the request.


Common Rejection Reasons

Missing or incorrect CIF/NIF

Ensure the company’s CIF or individual’s NIF is valid and matches official legal records

LOA not signed or incomplete

Fill out all fields and make sure the LOA is digitally signed by the correct person

LOA signed by unauthorized person

Only the legal account holder or an authorized representative should sign the LOA

Account details don’t match provider records

Double-check name, address, and number(s) against your current provider’s records

Invoice is older than 30 days

Provide a recent invoice dated within the last 30 days

Invoice doesn’t show the number(s)

Use a billing document that clearly lists the number(s) you want to port

Number is inactive or suspended

The number must remain active throughout the porting process

Outstanding balance with current provider

Settle any unpaid bills with your provider before submitting your port request

Address mismatch

The address on the LOA must match the address your provider has on file

Number belongs to a non-portable range/block

Some number blocks can’t be split -confirm with your provider before submitting the request

Porting blocked due to provider restrictions

Some providers restrict porting due to contract terms or internal policies - confirm before starting


On Porting Day

  • The number will be activated in CloudTalk

  • Your previous provider will release and deactivate the number

  • You’ll begin receiving inbound calls through CloudTalk

  • CloudTalk billing begins the same day


SMS Functionality

SMS is not supported on Spanish local, national, or toll-free numbers at this time.
