Set up integrated Copper to merge contacts and information through the CloudTalk interface

Learn how person, deal, and call data is merged after adding Copper into CloudTalk.


Contacts + Persons

Your Copper contacts will be imported into CloudTalk during initial synchronization. From there, synchronization runs periodically to check for and update changes on either side. Copper contacts will also be created or updated when a new CloudTalk contact is added or changed.

Contact merging occurs in CloudTalk when multiple Copper contacts have the same phone number, email address, or name.

In Copper, contact updates replace the existing name as well as all phone numbers and email addresses for the Copper person.

Opportunities

Copper opportunities are imported to associated contacts in CloudTalk. Periodic synchronization ensures they remain up to date within CloudTalk when they are updated in Copper.

Calls

Phone call activities are created in Copper for CloudTalk calls. These activities become linked to their Copper person, company, and all opportunities.

Within integration settings, admin can choose a Fallback Activity Owner to assign missed calls and calls coming from a CloudTalk agent who is not a Copper user. Admin can also limit which calls get exported by assigning specific CloudTalk numbers in the Connected Numbers section within the integration configuration.

SMS

Tasks are created in Copper for CloudTalk SMS messages. These tasks become linked to their Copper person, company, and all opportunities.

Within integration settings, admin can choose a Fallback Activity Owner to assign SMS messages coming from a CloudTalk agent who is not a Copper user. Admin can also limit which SMS messages get exported by assigning specific CloudTalk numbers in the Connected Numbers for SMS section within the integration configuration.
