This guide will help you connect your Odoo CRM with CloudTalk in just a few simple steps.

Before You Start
Make sure you have the following:
Active CloudTalk account
Active Odoo account
Administrator access in Odoo to generate API credentials
Access to the CloudTalk Dashboard
Ability to generate an API key in Odoo
Connect Odoo to CloudTalk
To set up the integration, head to your CloudTalk Dashboard:
Go to Account > Integrations
Find Odoo and click + Add
Fill in the required fields:
API Key
Domain URL
API Username
Database Name
Click Submit to connect
Where to Find Your Credentials
Odoo API Key
To generate an API key in Odoo:
Go to your user menu → My Profile / Preferences
Open the Account Security tab
Click New API Key, enter a name, and copy the key
Domain URL
This is your full Odoo URL, e.g.:
https://yourcompany.odoo.com
API Username
This is the Odoo login (username) of the user who generated the API key.
Make sure to enter the exact email address used by this user in Odoo, otherwise, the integration may not work correctly.
Database Name
To find your Odoo database name:
Check the URL in your browser while logged in to Odoo. The database name appears before
.odoo.comin the URL.Or visit odoo.com/my/databases
Example:
cloudtalk.odoo.com → Database name = cloudtalk
The email address you use in CloudTalk must match exactly with the email address in your Odoo account. If the emails do not match, synchronization will not work correctly.
Integration Settings
After filling in all fields, you must manually toggle the integration status to Active before saving. It does not switch automatically.
You’ll also be able to define:
Caption: Name of the integration instance
Contact tag: A custom tag applied to synced contacts in CloudTalk
Disconnect Odoo Integration
If you no longer wish to use the Odoo integration with CloudTalk, follow these steps to remove it:
Log in to your CloudTalk Dashboard and navigate to Account > Integrations from the left-hand menu.
Locate the Odoo integration and click Configure.
Scroll down and click Delete Integration.
To confirm, type
DELETEwhen prompted and click Delete again.
Your Odoo integration will now be removed from CloudTalk.
