CloudTalk is proud to offer a wide coverage of international phone numbers and number types, sourced through leading vendors. Here are our international providers, number requirements, and more.

Number types

  • Local (Geographic): area code tied to a city or region. May require local address.
  • National: country-wide prefix, not tied to a city. Usually fewer address requirements.
  • Mobile: supports voice and, in some countries, SMS. Requirements vary.
  • Toll-free: free for callers. Inbound only in many countries. Outbound often limited.

Number Requirements

When it comes to assigning phone numbers, CloudTalk needs to follow regulations set by local country regulators and communications ministries.

We may need to ask you for additional documents or company information in order to provide you with certain numbers, such as:
  • business registration
  • ID of a company representative
  • proof of a local address
Our Numbers team is here to help guide you through the required documents for each desired country or number type or select alternatives that fit your needs.
CloudTalk can offer at least one type of number (local, national, mobile, or toll free) from 95 countries without any local address requirement or documentation.

Why do I need a local address for some numbers?

Regulators and carriers require local presence to prevent misuse and to ensure correct number assignment. If you cannot meet a local address requirement, CloudTalk can often provide a mobile or national number instead. These usually have lighter requirements.

Before you order

Make sure you have:
  • a valid business or residential address in the target country, if required
  • a company registration document or ID of a legal representative, if required
  • your preferred number type (local, national, mobile, toll free)
  • clarity on SMS or WhatsApp needs, since availability varies by country and number type
  • You can upload required documents into CloudTalk’s number order form or add other details in the notes section

Availability and Processing Time

CloudTalk keeps most countries’ numbers readily available in our inventory so there is no wait time. However, in some less in-demand numbers may need to be special ordered from vendors or the local regulator, which could mean additional waiting time.
If a specific number type has required documents, our carrier will need to verify them when you make your first order. This can add 1-2 days to processing time.

Functionality

In some cases, calls to or from CloudTalk numbers will be affected by carrier limitations or local telco network policies. These can include limitations with international reachability or Caller ID (CLI) display. Our Numbers and Carrier Operations teams are here to keep you informed about any limitations that may exist in the countries you’ll be calling.

Beta numbers

Beta numbers are new numbers in our offering that are not widely used. This means we have limited large-scale performance data, cannot guarantee how features like outbound CLI will function in all countries.

Number Coverage

The coverage table below shows CloudTalk’s full international numbers coverage.
You can also check out:
* If a number type shows multiple options (OPTION 1, OPTION 2), it means that CloudTalk uses multiple suppliers in that country with different requirements or functionality

**WAIT TIME: If a specific number type has required documents, our carrier will need to verify them when you make your first order. This can add 1-2 days to processing time.
*minimum billed usage time per number is 1 month
