Overview
CloudTalk offers Spanish mobile numbers in the +34 6 format. They are also one of the most regulated mobile number types, and there are specific permissible use cases.
Spanish telecom laws designate how mobile number ranges can be used, and they are only officially allowed for interpersonal, conversational calls. These regulations exist to protect consumers and comply with Spanish policies.
All mobile numbers in Spain are governed by these policies, regardless of the provider or resellers involved and how other providers choose to promote them.
CloudTalk customers using Spanish mobile numbers should follow the use cases outlined in this guide.
If the traffic patterns on your Spain mobile number deviate from the patterns of standard conversational use:
our provider reserves the right to disable the number
our provider may be forced by the Spanish Regulator (CNMC) to disable the number, if they receive consumer complaints
What You Can Use Spanish Mobile Numbers For
Spanish mobile numbers can be used for the following use cases:
✅ Internal Calls: Making calls between your own employees or office locations
Example: Your Madrid office calls your Barcelona office using the Spanish mobile number.
✅ Inbound Calls: Receiving inbound calls from customers or partners
Example: A customer calls your business support line using the Spanish number you published online.
✅ Outbound Calls:
Only sequential or individually dialled calls are allowed: numbers cannot be used in parallel calls or mass dialling
Consent requirements: calls to customers who have opted-in to receive calls from your business. Cold Calls or other unsolicited calls are prohibited on this number type.
Example:
You make a requested outbound call to a prospect that has requested information or a follow up call from your business
You make an outbound call to an existing customer about a support request.
What You Cannot Use Spanish Mobile Numbers For
If you make outbound calls with a Spanish mobile number, every call must meet these requirements:
A live person should initiate each call. This means that you can use these numbers in Click-to-Call and Smart Dialler and Sequential Dialler, but not with Parallel dialler
The agent must make a conscious decision to dial that specific number before placing the call
One call at a time from the number, no concurrent or parallel dialling.
If the recipient answers, the call must be connected directly to the agent who dialled it: no delay, hold queues, or pre-recorded messages.
If you have a mix of number types in Spain on your CloudTalk Account and are also running campaigns in Spain with parallel diallers, please be sure to set only Spanish fixed, national, or toll-free numbers as the Outbound Number.
Spanish Mobile numbers should not be selected or available for Automatic Outbound Number or Smart Rotation.
These use cases are not allowed under Spanish Telecom Policy:
❌ Outbound Cold Calls
Calls should only be made to customers who requested to be contacted by you, or is opted-in to receive ongoing support calls from your business.
❌ Automated Dialing Systems
You cannot use any mass dialing technology. All calls must be initiated by a person. (you can use features for sequential dialling like Click to Call or Smart Dialler)
Examples include:
Parallel dialers (simultaneous dialing to multiple numbers)
Any other automation that initiates heavy concurrent calls from the same number
RECOMMENDED: Since mobile numbers should not initiate concurrent calls, it is recommended to have 1 mobile number per agent.
Monitoring and Compliance
It is each customer's responsibility to maintain correct consent and opt-in practices and ensure that their numbers are being used in accordance with these regulations.
CloudTalk will do our best to alert you on a best effort basis if we detect that the calls from your mobile numbers display non-compliant traffic patterns.
Monitor and flag usage patterns that indicate mass dialler traffic
Investigate reports of suspected violations
Request additional information from you to verify compliance if it is requested by our carrier
If either the Range Holder or Regulator receive consumer complaints or alerts on your numbers, they reserve the right to deactivate numbers that are being used for unsolicited calls or mass-dialling.
