Your CloudTalk account allows you to make international calls to a wide range of destinations. However, you may notice that some countries are restricted by default in Account > Settings > International Calling. This article covers the reasons for these restrictions, how to enable more countries, and when you’ll need help from our Support team to do so.

Why some countries are restricted by default
By default, your CloudTalk account is enabled to call around 90 core countries that most customers use regularly. These include popular destinations with stable calling infrastructure and standard Pay-As-You-Go rates.
Some destinations are not enabled automatically for the following reasons:
Higher calling costs – In certain countries, local regulations, limited VoIP infrastructure, or specific routing requirements can result in significantly higher calling rates.
Limited business demand – If calls to a destination are rarely made by most customers, we keep it disabled until needed.
Special handling required – Certain destinations may require additional verification or technical setup before calls can be made.
How to enable additional countries
You can enable calling to additional countries in your account settings:
Go to Account > Settings > International Calling.
Review the list of available destinations.
Select the checkbox next to each country you want to enable.
Save your changes.
For most higher-cost countries, your account’s admin can enable them directly in the Dashboard.
Why some countries can only be enabled by Support
A small number of destinations are in the highest-cost tier or require extra validation due to their unique calling conditions. These can’t be enabled directly in your Dashboard.
If you need to call one of these countries:
Contact CloudTalk Support via chat or email.
Share the country you want to call and confirm that it’s needed for your business use case.
Our team will review and, if approved, enable it for your account.
We recommend enabling only the destinations you actually need. This keeps your settings cleaner and makes it easier to manage your international calling preferences.
