Toll-free numbers are phone numbers that can be dialed from landlines and mobiles with no charge for the person placing the call. These numbers allow callers to reach businesses without being charged with a fee.
Toll-free numbers are mainly used for customer service calling. In most cases, toll-free numbers are assigned to those call centers where agents handle incoming calls.
Agents rarely make outbound calls using toll-free numbers. It's also not supported in some countries.
Important notice: Outbound calls from toll-free numbers can be filtered, blocked or not properly routed to its destination by terminating carriers (your contacts/customers).
Outbound calls from toll-free numbers are most likely not going to work in the majority of cases. However, in some situations, they can be successfully made.
This feature is not enabled by default, so please contact your Account Manager or our Customer Support to find out whether outbound calls can be enabled on your toll-free number(s).
