This article explains how to request deletion of your CloudTalk account and its data, what happens next, and which records are kept for a limited time.

How to request deletion

Contact Support from the email address on your CloudTalk account and ask for your account and its data to be deleted. We use the email address to confirm that the request really comes from you. Before you ask, download anything you want to keep, such as call history or call recordings. Deletion is permanent, and your phone numbers are removed from your account, so you can’t get them back afterwards. See Remove a phone number from CloudTalk.

What happens next

We confirm that we’ve received your request and start the deletion. We complete it within 30 days of receiving your request and let you know as soon as it’s done.

What we keep for a limited time

Once the deletion is complete, your account and its data are removed from our active systems. A few records are kept for a limited time:
  • Encrypted backups and system logs may still contain copies of your data. We keep them only to restore our services after a technical incident, and they’re deleted automatically no later than four months after we confirm the deletion.
  • Call detail records are kept only as long as the law requires us to keep them, and aren’t used for anything else.
  • Invoices and billing records are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires.

Were you called by a company that uses CloudTalk?

If a company called you using CloudTalk, that company decides how your data is used, and CloudTalk only processes it on their behalf. Contact that company directly to ask about or delete your data.
