How to Set Up Zoiper

A guide to setting up Zoiper for the first time

You can use Zoiper either as a desktop or mobile application. It is available for all major platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, iOS).


Download and install the Zoiper application

Desktop

Click the link below and select your operating system. Once the file is downloaded, run the installer on your computer.

Mobile

For smartphones, simply download the Zoiper app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

Add Your Account

When you first open Zoiper, it will ask you to add an account.
You can find your credentials in the CloudTalk Dashboard, under Agent at the bottom of the page.

Credentials format:

  • Username / Login: <<Username>>@<<Server>>

  • Password: <<Password>>

Setup Steps

  1. Enter credentials

    • Desktop: click Login

    • Mobile: click Create account

  2. Server hostname

    • Normally pre-filled from the previous screen.

    • If not, enter the <<Server>> value from your Agent credentials and click Next.

  3. Authentication & Outbound proxy

    • CloudTalk does not use these fields.

    • Simply click Skip.

  4. Connection method

    • Zoiper will automatically detect the best connection.

    • It should select SIP TCP.

    • Once confirmed, click Next.

5. Zoiper is now connected to CloudTalk, and you can start making and receiving calls
