Set up integrated Copper to merge contacts and information through the CloudTalk interface

This article will talk briefly about how you can set up Copper's features within the CloudTalk interface. There's a separate article for help with integrating your Copper into CloudTalk.

How It Works

Contacts

  • Import contacts from Copper to CloudTalk

    Contacts are merged when multiple Copper Contacts have the same phone number, email address, or name. See Merging Contacts for details.

  • Create or update Copper contact when CloudTalk contact is created or updated

    Contact updates replace the existing name, all phone numbers, and all email addresses for the Copper person.

  • Import all Copper opportunities and update them when they're updated in Copper

    This imports all the contact's opportunities (deals) to their CloudTalk contacts.

  • Create Phone Call activities in Copper for CloudTalk calls

    • Users can limit the calls which are sent out by assigning specific CloudTalk numbers in the Connected numbers section. See Additional Info in this guide to configuration for help.

    • Calls are linked to their Copper person, company, and all opportunities.

    • In the integration settings, users can choose which contact will be assigned for missed calls, as well as for calls coming from a CloudTalk agent who is not a Copper user.

  • Create tasks in Copper for CloudTalk SMS

    • Users can limit the SMS messages which are sent out by assigning specific CloudTalk numbers in the Connected numbers for SMS section. See Additional Info in this guide to configuration for help.

    • Calls are linked to their Copper person, company, and all opportunities.

    • In the integration settings, users can choose which contact will be assigned for SMSs coming from a CloudTalk agent who is not a Copper user.
