How to use SMS / Text Messages in CloudTalk

A brief guide on how to use the SMS feature and send Text messages via CloudTalk.

Please note that the SMS functionality is only available upon request. Please contact our team and they will be happy to activate SMS for you. After the SMS feature is activated, you can start using it from your CloudTalk Phone App.

Warning❗CloudTalk does not support sending SMS messages to short/ short code phone numbers.

How do I use the feature? 

  1. Access your CloudTalk Phone App.

  2. Navigate to the SMS section in the bottom right section. To write a new message, click on the plus icon. 

3. In the next step, you can choose which contact you are going to send a message to.

4. When you have more than one phone number connected to your agent's profile, you can choose the number that the message will be sent from.

5. When sending an SMS to your customers, you can either create a new message or choose one from your templates. If needed, you can add a brand new template message here for future use, see below.

6. All of the previous messages will be displayed here and you can easily go through the text message history of the specific contact or delete specific conversations.

Important note! 

Please remember that you can only send messages to phone numbers linked with phones which are able to read text messages, for instance mobile devices, otherwise the SMSes wont display.
