Google Chrome keeps itself updated automatically - updates are installed when you close your browser and reopen it. Make sure that you close your browser from time to time, so all updates are automatically installed the next time you reopen it.
To find out whether your Google Chrome is up to date:
Click on the three dots in the top right corner
Click on Help
Click on About Google Chrome.
Your browser will immediately inform you about its update status:
