A concise explanation on using the Voicemail Drops feature in CloudTalk

The Voicemail Drops feature allows agents to send short, pre-recorded messages when reaching the voicemail of someone they have called. Agents therefore do not have to manually record a voicemail each time they call, but can instead simply drop their pre-recorded one, saving considerable time.

Feature availability:

  • PLATFORM: Desktop app, Web app

  • PLAN: Essential, Expert, Custom

Please note that there is a 60 seconds limit for this feature. Recording will stop automatically after reaching the limit. Additionally, the feature must be enabled in Functions Settings in order to work.


HOW TO SET UP VOICEMAIL DROPS

  1. Open Desktop app or Web App

  2. Click Settings > General > Voicemail Drops

  3. Add voicemail message (At the moment, users can choose between two options: record the message directly in the app or upload a file. (Text to Speech coming soon)

  4. Enter a name for the new voicemail message and record or upload file.

If needed, agents can also set a default voicemail, play, rename or delete the recording(s).

HOW TO USE VOICEMAIL DROPS

This feature can be used only when making outbound calls and reaching voicemail. If you reach the voicemail/hear the beep sound:

  1. Click More

  2. Click Voicemail drop

  3. Choose the voicemail you wish to send

  4. Click DONE. The call summary will pop up and you will be able to add additional information such as tags, notes, etc.

❗Note regarding the Power Dialer ❗

It is currently not possible to leave a Voicemail drop if calling via Desktop App’s Power Dialer.
