Before starting, please make sure:
You've successfully added an Essential, Expert, or Custom plan with CloudTalk
You have an active Copper account with a Professional or Business plan
You are an admin for both Copper and CloudTalk
Adding Copper in CloudTalk
In Copper, you'll first need to create an API Key and API URL. To do so, follow this guide.
Once you have your API Key and API URL:
Login to your CloudTalk Dashboard
Go to Account > Integrations
Look for Add Integration. In the Add Integration section, find Copper and click
+ Add
.Optional - Give your integration a unique name (useful for companies with separate Copper integrations for different teams)
Look for Workflow Settings. In the Workflow Settings section under API Authentication, click
New Authentication
.Enter your first Copper API email address and API Key. Leave Application as developer-api. Click
Create
.In the Workflow Settings section under Webhook Authentication, click
New Authentication
.Enter your second Copper API email address and API Key, and click
Create
.In the Workflow Settings section under Call Settings, select the Copper user you want to assign call activities to (in cases where the agent who made the outbound call is not found in Copper).
In the Workflow Settings section under SMS Settings, select the Copper user you want to assign SMS activities to (in cases where the agent who sent the outbound SMS is not found in Copper).
Click
Finish
to save your Workflow settings.
Additional Tips:
To only log calls for specific CloudTalk numbers, add desired numbers to the Connected numbers section.
To only log SMS messages for specific CloudTalk numbers, add desired numbers to the Connected numbers for SMS section.
Check the top of the page. Make sure Integration is set to Active.
When changing settings, always click
Save
.
