Configuration

Add Copper into CloudTalk

Have the API Key and API URL of your Copper account ready to copy and paste.

From the legacy dashboard, navigate to Account > Integrations.

  1. Hover over the Copper integration and select + Add.

    1. Optional: Enter a Caption to give your integration a unique name (useful for companies with multiple Copper integrations).

  2. In the Workflow settings section under API Authentication, select New Authentication.

  3. Enter your first Copper API email address and API Key. Leave Application as developer-api. Create.

  4. In the Workflow settings section under Webhook Authentication, select New Authentication.

  5. Enter your second Copper API email address and API Key. Create.

  6. For the Fallback Activity Owner, select the Copper user you want to assign call activities to (in cases where the agent who made the outbound call is not found in Copper).

    1. Calls with no CloudTalk agent or fallback owner—or with an agent who lacks a matching email address in Copper—will be logged to Copper with no assignee.

  7. For SMS Settings, select the Copper user you want to assign SMS activities to (in cases where the agent who sent the outbound SMS is not found in Copper).

    1. SMS messages with no CloudTalk agent or fallback owner—or with an agent who lacks a matching email address in Copper—will be logged to Copper with no assignee.

  8. Select Finish and Save when done changing settings.

Connected Numbers + SMS

To only log calls for specific CloudTalk numbers, add desired numbers to the Connected numbers section. You can also search and add numbers to the Connected numbers for SMS section when you only want to log SMS messages for those numbers.

Not adding any numbers within these sections means that messages and/or calls for all numbers will be logged in Copper.
