How data is synchronized between your CloudTalk and ActiveCampaign account

Learn how contact, deal, and call data is merged after adding ActiveCampaign into CloudTalk.


Contacts

Your ActiveCampaign contacts will be imported into CloudTalk during initial synchronization. From there, synchronization runs periodically to check for and update changes on either side. ActiveCampaign contacts will also be created or updated when a new CloudTalk contact is added or changed.

Contact merging occurs in CloudTalk when multiple ActiveCampaign contacts have the same phone number, email address, or name.

In ActiveCampaign, contacts are only matched by email address. This means a new ActiveCampaign contact will be created based on if a CloudTalk contact has a different email address.

ActiveCampaign deals are imported to associated contacts in CloudTalk. Periodic synchronization ensures they remain up to date within CloudTalk when they are updated in ActiveCampaign.

Calls

Call tasks are created in ActiveCampaign for CloudTalk calls. Admin can limit which calls get exported by assigning specific CloudTalk numbers in the Connected Numbers section within the integration configuration.

Call tasks are assigned to the contact in ActiveCampaign when the contact has no deals. However, calls are assigned to All deals if the contact does have ActiveCampaign deals.

Email tasks are created in ActiveCampaign for CloudTalk SMS messages. Admin can limit which SMS messages get exported by assigning specific CloudTalk numbers in the Connected Numbers for SMS section within the integration configuration.

Email tasks from SMS messages are assigned to the contact in ActiveCampaign when the contact has no deals. However, messages are assigned to All deals if the contact does have ActiveCampaign deals.
