Configure Gorgias

Configure data exchange between CloudTalk and Gorgias to ensure your data stays up to date.

Once connected, learn how calls are handled and how data is synced between CloudTalk and Gorgias in Using CloudTalk with Gorgias.

Before You Start

Make sure the following requirements are met before setting up the integration:

  • You have an active CloudTalk account and access to your Gorgias account

  • You have Admin access in Gorgias to install and configure integrations

  • You have your Gorgias API key and domain ready

  • The email address used in CloudTalk exactly matches the one used in Gorgias; otherwise, the integration won’t sync correctly

Configure Gorgias

  1. In your Dashboard, go to Account > Integrations.

  2. Hover over the Gorgias integration and select +Add to begin installation.

  3. Enter your Base URL from Gorgias:

    1. Open your Gorgias account in a new tab and navigate to Settings > REST API.

    2. Copy the Base API URL listed there.

  4. Submit.

  5. Customize your integration settings as necessary (see Integration Settings).

  6. Save when done.

    1. Once the integration is set up, all your Gorgias contacts will be synchronized with CloudTalk. This may take a few minutes.

Integration Settings

  • You can define which calls (inbound, outbound, missed calls and voicemails) to log into Gorgias and what status should be assigned to the ticket

    .

  • Set whether you want to log all calls or only calls made during business hours or when your lines are closed.

  • Define an agent you want to assign missed calls to.

  • Pick which CloudTalk numbers should get linked to your Gorgias integration. It will help you organize your data better.

    Important notice: If no number is selected, all numbers get synced to Gorgias.

  • Decide how SMS (inbound or outbound) will be logged into Gorgias.

  • Decide whether SMS should be synchronized only for specific phone numbers.

Note: When message export is enabled, both SMS and WhatsApp messages are exported using the same setting.

Exported messages are not distinguished by channel in the CRM, and the initial outbound WhatsApp template message is not exported.

FAQs

  • Why are my missed calls not exporting to Gorgias?

    Check if there is an assignee selected for missed calls within your Gorgias integration settings in CloudTalk. Navigate to Account > Integrations > Gorgias and make sure a missed call assignee is defined.

  • Why are call tags from Gorgias not syncing to CloudTalk?

    Call tag sync is one-way only. CloudTalk exports call tags to Gorgias, but tags created in Gorgias are not synced back into CloudTalk.
