In today’s fast-paced business environment, efficient call handling is key to customer satisfaction and operational success. The Unlimited Concurrent Calls feature lets businesses manage multiple inbound and outbound calls simultaneously, so customers never have to wait due to a busy line.

What Is a Concurrent Call?

A concurrent call refers to any phone call that happens at the same time as another call on the same system. For example, if two agents are on calls at once, your business is handling two concurrent calls.

Unlimited concurrent calls enable your call center to handle an unlimited number of simultaneous phone calls. CloudTalk uses advanced VoIP technology to manage multiple calls within the same network. The system dynamically distributes bandwidth and resources across active calls to ensure stable connections and crystal-clear audio quality.

How to enable unlimited concurrent calls in CloudTalk

  1. Go to the CloudTalk dashboard and click “Users.”

  2. In the top left corner, select “Add user” or click the pencil icon next to an existing agent.

3. In Advanced settings, scroll down to the “Maximum number of calls” setting.

4. Choose the number of concurrent calls an agent can receive. To enable unlimited concurrent calls, select “Unlimited.”

5. Scroll to the bottom and click “Save user”.

What Can Impact Your Call Capacity?

While CloudTalk allows unlimited concurrent calls, your network and external carriers may still impact call performance:

🔹 Network Bandwidth – Multiple VoIP calls require a stable internet connection. If bandwidth is insufficient, calls may experience delays or poor audio quality.

🔹 Third-Party Carrier Limits – While CloudTalk doesn’t cap concurrent calls, external telecom carriers may impose restrictions, particularly for outbound calls.

🔹 Calls Per Second (CPS) Limit – Even with unlimited concurrent calls, some providers or networks may limit how many new calls can be initiated per second, affecting high-volume dialing.

To maintain seamless call handling, ensure your network can support high call volumes and check for any carrier-specific limitations.
