}Contact tags
Delete a contact tag
Deletes a contact tag and removes it from every contact. This cannot be undone. Read-only tags cannot be deleted (see List contact tags).
Deleting a tag that is in use is allowed, as in the Dashboard:
- Dialer campaigns, VIP queues and call flow conditions that use the tag lose it. A campaign that targets only this tag ends up with no contacts.
- Workflow Automations that match the tag by name stop matching.
- The contacts that lose the tag keep their
updatedAt, and nocontact.updatedwebhook is sent for them.
Deleting the same tag again returns 404: treat it as done.
