This guide explains how to connect your Workable account with CloudTalk and authenticate the integration.

User level: Admin

Before You Start

Before setting up the Workable integration, make sure you have the following ready:

  • A Workable account with admin access to Settings and Integrations.

  • A Workable API access token with the required scopes: r_candidates, w_candidates, and r_jobs. You can generate this in Workable under Settings > Integrations > API Access Tokens.

  • Your Workable subdomain which is the first part of your Workable URL. For example, if your URL is https://cloudtalk.workable.com, your subdomain is cloudtalk.

  • Matching email addresses meaning the email address you use in CloudTalk must exactly match the email address in your Workable account. If they don't match, synchronization will not work correctly.

Configure Workable

  1. In your Dashboard, go to Account > Integrations

  2. Locate Workable and click Add.

3. Under Workflow settings, click on New authentication.

4. You’ll be asked to provide:

  • Your Authentication Name

  • Access Token

  • Subdomain

  • Partner Client ID (Optional, can be requested via [email protected])

Where to find your Workable Access Token and Subdomain

Access Token

  1. In Workable, go to Settings > Integrations.

  2. Scroll to API Access Tokens.

  3. Click Generate API token.

  4. Fill in the token name, set expiry (e.g., 1 year), and select the required scopes.

Make sure to include the following scopes: r_candidates, w_candidates, and r_jobs.

  5. Click Generate token, then copy the access token from the list.

You can learn more about token scopes and management in this Workable guide.

Subdomain

Your Workable subdomain is the first part of your Workable URL.
For example, if your Workable URL is:

https://cloudtalk.workable.com

Then your subdomain is:

cloudtalk

Once authentication is successful, you can:

  • Select which CloudTalk numbers should be linked to Workable

  • Choose numbers for calls and/or messages (SMS)

Choose the appropriate numbers and click Submit to save.

Disconnect or Remove the Integration

If you no longer want CloudTalk to synchronize data with Workable, you can disable or permanently remove the integration.

To disable the integration, go to Account > Integrations, locate the Workable integration, and toggle the status from Active to Inactive.

To delete the integration permanently, open the Workable integration settings, scroll down, click Delete Integration, and type DELETE to confirm.
