A quick speed test can track common VoIP problems such as ping and jitter.

Diagnose Common Connection Problems

Phone calls over the internet require a high-quality internet connection. If you experience interruptions during your calls or the quality of your calls is poor, we recommend that you perform a quick quality test of your internet connection. This test typically takes few seconds or minutes to run, and gives you a reading for the two most important call quality parameters: ping and jitter.

Ping should not exceed 150 ms (milliseconds) and Jitter should fall below 50 ms.

Tips

  • If you experience call issues at specific times of the day, run the test during those particular times.

  • Run a test at least 3 times over the work period to get a more accurate reading that accounts for varying conditions.

  • If you need our assistance, don’t hesitate to send us your test! Copy the link to your results and share it with our support team, or over live chat.
