This article explains how to connect Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales with CloudTalk, set up authentication, and start syncing your data.
User Level: Admin
Before You Start
Make sure the following requirements are met before setting up the integration:
You are on a CloudTalk Essential, Expert, or Custom plan
You have an active Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales account
You have Admin access in both CloudTalk and Microsoft Dynamics 365
You have access to your Microsoft Dynamics 365 organization URL
You are able to authenticate external integrations in Dynamics
Important:
The email address used in CloudTalk must exactly match the email used in Microsoft Dynamics 365
If the emails do not match, synchronization will not work correctly
Connect Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales to CloudTalk
From your dashboard, navigate to Account > Integrations.
Find Microsoft Dynamics 365 and click
+Add.Edit the Caption and give this integration instance an internal name to distinguish it from other linked 365 accounts within your company.
In the Workflow Settings section, select New authentication.
To create a new authentication, you must connect your MS Dynamics account through a URL:
In a separate browser tab, login to your Microsoft Dynamics 365 org.
Copy the main URL which contains your org name. The format will be something like:
https://orgXXXXX.crmX.dynamics.com/URL length and characters will vary
Back in your CloudTalk browser tab, paste the URL you copied from the last step into the Microsoft Dynamics 365 URL field. Create.
The authentication may take a few moments to go through. When successful, you will see a notification and the page will load with the authentication name filled in. Select Finish.
Click Save to finish the configuration.
Disconnect or Remove the Integration
If you no longer want CloudTalk to synchronize data with Microsoft Dynamics 365, you can disable or permanently remove the integration.
To disable the integration, go to Account > Integrations, locate the Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration, and toggle the status from Active to Inactive.
To delete the integration permanently, open the Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration settings, scroll down, click Delete Integration, and type DELETE to confirm.
