# Add or update payment and billing details

> A quick guide to adding payment information to your CloudTalk account

> [!NOTE]
>
> In this article, you will learn how to add or update your payment method and billing details, and where to manage them in the CloudTalk Dashboard.

**User level:** Admin

***

Your payment method is under **Dashboard > Settings > Billing > Payment details**. Your company billing details are on the Billing page itself, under **Dashboard > Settings > Billing**.

## Update your payment method

Go to **Dashboard > Settings > Billing > Payment details**. In the **Payment method** box, you can view and update how your subscription is paid. The same page also shows your **Billing date**, the day your invoice is issued and your payment method is charged.

To update your payment method:

1. Click the **edit icon** in the top right corner of the Payment method box

2. Add a new card or update your existing payment details

3. Save your changes

Your updated payment method will be used for all future charges.

> [!TIP]
>
> To verify your card, your bank may place a temporary charge (for example, EUR 1). This amount will be automatically refunded within a short time.

## Pay unpaid or overdue invoices

Updating your card saves it for future subscription charges. It doesn't retry invoices that are already overdue, so pay those directly from the Dashboard.

### From the overdue banner

When an invoice is overdue, a banner at the top of the Dashboard shows the invoice number, amount and due date.

* **One overdue invoice:** click **Pay now**. A secure Stripe payment page opens for that invoice.

* **Several overdue invoices:** click **View and pay**. A list opens with every unpaid invoice, each with its own **Pay now** and **Download PDF** button. If you have more than 20, the list shows the most overdue, and **See all unpaid invoices** takes you to the Invoices page.

### From the Invoices page

Every unpaid invoice in **Dashboard > Settings > Invoices** has a **Pay** button.

### How you can pay

The payment page accepts card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus bank debit and local payment methods depending on your country. You can still pay by bank transfer using the details on the invoice.

### Who sees the banner

* **Admins and partner admins:** the full details and a Pay now button.

* **Admins in a partner-managed account:** that an invoice is overdue. Your Partner handles billing, so contact them to settle it.

* **Supervisors:** the invoice number only. Ask an account admin to pay it.

* Agents and analysts don't see the banner.

> [!TIP]
>
> The person paying doesn't need a CloudTalk login. Copy the payment link and send it to your finance team or whoever holds the company card.

### After you pay

Card and wallet payments are confirmed immediately. Bank debits take a few business days to settle. The invoice shows as paid once the money arrives, and we won't charge your saved card for that invoice in the meantime. Each invoice can only be paid once.

If an invoice still shows as unpaid a few days after you paid, see [Payment Methods](https://help.cloudtalk.io/en/articles/5595387-payment-methods.md).

Your saved card keeps paying your regular subscription charges as before.

## Update your billing details

On the Billing page (**Dashboard > Settings > Billing**), the **Company details** section holds the information used on your invoices.

To update your billing details:

1. Click the **edit icon** in the Company details section

2. Update the required fields (such as company name, VAT number, or address)

3. Save your changes

Updated details will be applied to all future invoices. Previously issued invoices will not be changed.

## What if my invoice was already issued with incorrect details?

If an invoice has already been issued with incorrect billing information, such as a wrong VAT number, company name, or address, updating your billing details in the dashboard will not change that invoice. Previously issued invoices can only be corrected by the CloudTalk billing team.

To request a corrected invoice:

1. **Update your billing details in the dashboard first** (if you haven't already). Go to **Dashboard > Settings > Billing**, click the edit icon in the Company details section, correct the relevant fields, and save. This ensures future invoices are generated with the right information.

2. **Contact CloudTalk Support** via the [Support portal](https://support.cloudtalk.io/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=26305535257884). In your request, include:

   * The invoice number you need corrected

   * The field that needs to be changed (for example, VAT number) and the correct value

3. **Allow time for processing.** The billing team will issue a credit note for the original invoice and send you a new invoice with the corrected details. Processing typically takes 1–3 business days.
