# Configure Odoo

> Configure data exchange between CloudTalk and Odoo to ensure your data stays up to date.

## Before You Start

Make sure you have the following:

* Active CloudTalk account

* Active Odoo account

* Administrator access in Odoo to generate API credentials

* Access to the CloudTalk Dashboard

* Ability to generate an API key in Odoo

## Connect Odoo to CloudTalk

To set up the integration, head to your CloudTalk Dashboard:

1. Go to **Settings > Integrations**

2. Find **Odoo** and click **+ Add**

3. Fill in the required fields:

   * **API Key**

   * **Domain URL**

   * **API Username**

   * **Database Name**

4. Click **Submit** to connect

### Where to Find Your Credentials

#### Odoo API Key

To generate an API key in Odoo:

1. Go to your user menu → **My Profile / Preferences**

2. Open the **Account Security** tab

3. Click **New API Key**, enter a name, and copy the key

#### Domain URL

This is your full Odoo URL, e.g.:

```text theme={"system"}
https://yourcompany.odoo.com
```

#### API Username

This is the Odoo login (username) of the user who generated the API key.

>
> Make sure to enter the **exact email address** used by this user in Odoo, otherwise, the integration may not work correctly.

#### Database Name

To find your Odoo database name:

* Check the URL in your browser while logged in to Odoo. The database name appears **before `.odoo.com`** in the URL.

* Or visit [odoo.com/my/databases](https://odoo.com/my/databases)

Example:

```text theme={"system"}
cloudtalk.odoo.com → Database name = cloudtalk
```

>
> **The email address you use in CloudTalk must match exactly with the email address in your Odoo account**. If the emails do not match, synchronization will not work correctly.

## Integration Settings

After filling in all fields, **you must manually toggle the integration status to Active** before saving. It does not switch automatically.

You’ll also be able to define:

* **Caption**: Name of the integration instance

* **Contact tag**: A custom tag applied to synced contacts in CloudTalk

## Disconnect Odoo Integration

If you no longer wish to use the Odoo integration with CloudTalk, follow these steps to remove it:

1. Log in to your CloudTalk Dashboard and navigate to **Settings > Integrations** from the left-hand menu.

2. Locate the **Odoo** integration and click **Configure**.

3. Scroll down and click **Delete Integration**.

4. To confirm, type `DELETE` when prompted and click **Delete** again.

Your Odoo integration will now be removed from CloudTalk.
