# Configure Capsule CRM

> Configure data exchange ensure your data stays up to date and your team can call directly from Capsule CRM.

> This guide walks you through connecting CloudTalk with Capsule CRM, so you can sync contacts, track calls and SMS, and manage all activity in one place.

## Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have:

* **Admin access** in both CloudTalk and Capsule CRM.

* A **Capsule API token**. You can find instructions [below.](#:~:text=Where%20to%20find%20your%20Capsule%20API%20token)

* The email address you use in CloudTalk must match exactly with the email address in your Capsule CRM account. If the emails do not match, synchronization will not work correctly.

## Configure Capsule CRM

You can connect your Capsule CRM with CloudTalk in just a few steps. Here's how to authenticate the integration and assign phone numbers for calling and messaging.

1. **Log in** to your CloudTalk Dashboard.

2. Navigate to **Settings > Integrations**.

3. Find **Capsule CRM** in the list and click ➕ **Add**.

4. A pop-up will appear. Under **API token**, paste your Capsule token.

5. Click **Create** to finish authentication.

6. **Assign numbers** (optional):

   * Choose which CloudTalk numbers should be linked to Capsule for call and SMS logging.

   * If you leave this empty, your default CloudTalk numbers will be used.

   * This is useful if you only want Capsule to log calls from specific teams or lines.

7. In **General settings**, configure labels:

   * **Caption**: The internal name for this integration (e.g. "Capsule CRM").

   * **Contact’s tag**: All contacts synced from Capsule will automatically receive this tag, making them easy to filter later.

#### Where to find your Capsule API token

1. Log into your **Capsule account**.

2. Click on your avatar in the top-right and choose **My Preferences**.

3. Scroll down to **API Authentication Tokens**.

4. Generate a new token or copy an existing one.
