# Send a test event

> Sends a sample payload of one event type to the endpoint. The payload has the real structure of that event with placeholder values. Delivery is asynchronous: use the returned `deliveryId` with the delivery endpoints; it appears there from the first delivery attempt, usually within seconds.

The event type must be one the endpoint is subscribed to (an endpoint subscribed to every type accepts any), and the endpoint must be enabled. Test events and delivery retries share a limit of 10 per minute per company.

## API Specification
