# Unassign contact tags

> **LEGACY.** This endpoint keeps working unchanged. For new integrations, use [Remove tags from a contact](/api-reference/contacts/remove-tags-from-a-contact) on `https://api.cloudtalk.io/v1`.

Unassign contact tags from a contact. If a removed tag is one an AI Sales Dialer campaign uses to add contacts, the contact is taken out of that campaign's queue within about 5 minutes. A call already in progress isn't interrupted.
