# Inspect a contact

> **LEGACY.** This endpoint keeps working unchanged. For new integrations, use [Get a contact](/api-reference/contacts/get-a-contact) on `https://api.cloudtalk.io/v1`.

Returns one contact in full: the contact record plus its phone numbers, email addresses, tags, custom attributes and external URLs. Use this when you already have the contact's ID. To search for one, use [List contacts](/api-reference/contacts-legacy/list-contacts), or [List and search contacts](/api-reference/contacts/list-and-search-contacts) on v1.
